Join us for Texas Embassy Blues Band, Every Friday Night at 8:30 PM.

Friday nights in Old Town Puerto Vallarta, you might see a line of people gathering around 8 pm on Basilio Badillo. The good-time seekers are primed to kick off their huaraches, leave burdens behind, and soak up some classic blues tunes with friends old and new. For 14 years, the Texas Embassy Blues Band has continued to deliver heartfelt rhythms and melodies of rockin’ blues favorites, Friday nights through high season. The live music starts at 8:30 upstairs in Nacho Daddy’s air-conditioned theater. Admission is free. The people have come for some honky-tonkin’ songs like “You Can Leave Your Hat On” by Joe Cocker. They’ve come to grab their sweethearts for a romantic swing around the dance floor, to “God Bless the Child” by Blood Sweat and Tears, and Ray Charles’ “Georgia on My Mind.” The people have come to tap their toes, and bust out their cowboy dance grooves when “Ride Sally Ride” from Al Greene breaks out. Crooning out soulful emotions that are at times rugged, wild, and touching, Sean Moore is the band’s front man and lead singer. A “Texican,” Moore is also the well-known co-owner of Nacho Daddy. Joining him on guitar, bass, drums and keyboards is a line-up of top instrumentalists from around the bay. Occasionally, you’ll be wowed by a saxophone. If you’re feeling more laid-back, take in the spectacle from above, in the balcony of the theater. The friendly, bi-lingual and good-looking staff is happy to bring your food and drink choices up to serve you. The original band brings Texas blues to larger-than-life, with the theater’s top-quality professional sound and light system.
